Modern Canna Science (MCS) was founded in 2014 and is regarded as Florida's first medical marijuana testing laboratory. The MCS mission is to ensure that Florida’s medical cannabis patients receive the safest and highest quality medication available. This can be accomplished through the use of the latest cannabis testing equipment and methodologies, which are used for identifying and determining product potency and possible contamination for the Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC's). Our cannabis laboratories are committed to providing medical marijuana quality control testing for the MMTC's in the state, and with over 5 decades of testing experience in Florida and several years of medical cannabis research, we have remained dedicated to our passion.

The MCS analysts and lab technicians not only have academic backgrounds in chemistry, but also have decades of quality control experience in regulated laboratory settings, as well as vast knowledge of instrumentation and analytical methodology pertaining to cannabis. In order to validate data and ensure accuracy, MCS put's an emphasis on quality control in the lab.

At our state-of-the-art labs, all of our procedures are in compliance with the strictest quality control standards. With extensive quality analysis and quality assurance protocols in place, we aim to ensure the highest standards in marijuana testing.

Welcome to MCS Laboratories – Where Modern Science meets Modern Medicine

MCS is a Minority Owned Business. Contracting with an MBE certified laboratory will help satisfy the mandated diversity requirement for license applications and renewals. MCS has a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification from the Florida Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD). Click here for a copy of the certification.

MCS takes Quality Control (QC) in the laboratory very seriously. There are very few labs in the cannabis industry with standard operating procedures in place that help verify whether or not the data being reported is accurate. Every analyst and lab technician at MCS has a strong QC background. Reporting results with full QC is currently not required, but MCS has taken the initiative to provide this service so our clients know the data they receive is accurate.

MCS is committed to pushing this industry in the right direction. The health and safety of the end user should be the top priority for every cultivator, producer, laboratory, retailer, physician, caretaker, etc. MCS is committed to achieving this goal by working together with other industry professionals who take this as seriously as we do.
